As a Lead Builder (Project Manager) at Cobblestone Homes, you will oversee the construction of high-quality homes, ensuring they are built on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. You will lead and manage trade partners, suppliers, and Jr. Lead Builders, while maintaining strong relationships with homeowners throughout the construction process.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately enter data, update schedules, and communicate with trade partners and suppliers to meet deadlines.
  • Report material variances, store materials properly, and handle back orders or delivery delays.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with trade partners, ensuring adherence to work scopes, schedules, and safety standards.
  • Ensure compliance with Cobblestone's safety standards and MIOSHA regulations, conduct safety checks, and document accidents.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of job sites, manage construction debris removal, and ensure site security.
  • Monitor construction quality, perform routine checks, and ensure adherence to building codes and specifications.
  • Maintain a positive relationship with homeowners, proactively communicate updates, and conduct site visits.
  • Conduct performance walk-throughs and resolve open items within designated timelines.
  • Review and approve invoices, monitor job costs, and perform job cost audits.
  • Participate in company meetings, assist with special events, and maintain a positive demeanor.
  • Adhere to established procedures and complete checklists with precision and consistency.


Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in construction management, preferably in home building.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of construction processes, building codes, and safety regulations.
  • Proficiency in scheduling software (Buildertrend preferred).
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality work and exceptional customer service.
